The tragedy of British media and the classic “opposition” lamenting of the Labour party demand a response.
Of course, it is a disappointment that Cameron lost a battle in the European Union, and to the extent that it may be true that other heads of government abandoned him late in the game, it is a great shame. But, this does not detract from the value of the exercise. The Labour party can be excused for taking cheap political shots at Cameron’s defeat, it is their modus operandi to pull things down to the lowest possible level, and strip any logic or value from the debate.
